Riviera Maya: A Tropical Paradise

Nestled along the stunning Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, Riviera Maya is a tropical haven that seamlessly blends ancient history with modern luxury. This destination offers something for every traveler.

Gathering Insider Knowledge

I just returned from a week with two of our travel agents, Abby Black and Jenna Rudy. We had a wonderful time exploring the area and touring 16 hotels. As a travel agent, experiencing the destination we are recommending makes a world of a difference. The firsthand knowledge is invaluable to creating personalized itineraries and recommendations for you – our clients.

Here are some of the things we focus on when we take these types of trips:

  • Stay at Various Resorts: Explore different types of accommodations, from adults-only to family-friendly, to better advise based on our clients' budgets and desires.

  • Excursions – Exploring and trying new excursions to help with our clients’ suggestions. This time we did not have this on our calendar, but many times do!

  • Local Insights: Exploring the local area and fishing villages is always an adventure on its own. We also love to take time to see shops and local dining options! If you follow me on Instagram I am always searching for the best local taco and guacamole!

The stunning Riviera Maya is a dreamy stretch of coastline on Mexico’s eastern shores, offering travelers an incredible mix of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and historical treasures. One of the most alluring aspects of this region is the distinct charm of Isla Mujeres and the emerging gem, Costa Mujeres, which have become must-visit destinations.

Things to do on Isla Mujeres:

  • Playa Norte (the north beach): This heavenly stretch of shoreline boasts powdery sands and calm, shallow waters ideal for swimming and sunbathing.

  • Snorkeling and Diving: The MUSA underwater sculpture museum and the surrounding coral reefs offer incredible opportunities for underwater exploration.

  • Golf Cart Adventure: Rent a golf cart and explore the island’s various attractions, including Punta Sur, a scenic cliff with a panoramic view.

Costa Mujeres: The Hidden Oasis

Costa Mujeres is a relatively newer and up-and-coming area, located just north of Cancun. This tranquil area is becoming increasingly popular among travelers who seek a more exclusive and luxurious experience away from the crowds!

Things to do in Costa Mujeres:

  • Enjoy the serene, uncrowded beaches that Costa Mujeres has to offer, perfect for relaxation and water sports.

  • Savor delectable culinary experiences at the high-end, all-inclusive resorts in the area.

  • Indulge in relaxation and rejuvenation with spa treatments at your resort.

We considered this trip a huge success. Having the opportunity to explore for eight days and to see 16 resorts is really helpful in our future vacation planning for our clients. Seeing and experiencing these resorts gives us first-hand knowledge of their value, amenities, and quality!

Riviera Maya is more than just a beach destination; it’s a place where ancient history, natural beauty, and modern amenities come together in perfect harmony. Whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural exploration, Riviera Maya has something special to offer every traveler. So, pack your bags, prepare your camera, and embark on an unforgettable journey to this tropical paradise.
